On March 6, 2015, volunteers with the Islamic Center of St. Joseph teamed up with  ICNA-Relief Kansas City to sack and serve 50 chicken dinners from Church’s Chicken in St. Joseph, which is managed by congregation member Mohamad Haque. The meals were served at Interserv’s St. Joseph Shelter. A special thank-you to Saleem Michael Andres who organized the first Friday evening outreach as well as the local congregation volunteers. Volunteers have continued the feeding effort monthly on the first Friday since March 2015.
